Seasonal fruits balance blood-sugar level

It is an absolute myth that you cannot have fruits when you’re diabetic and high on blood sugar because you need to control your A1C. Many fruits are loaded with good vitamins and minerals and also has fiber in them, which is a powerful nutrient that helps in regulating blood sugar levels and gradually decreases the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

But you need to remember a few things when you have high blood sugar while consuming fruits, those are: -

- Always eat fresh fruits that are local and seasonal.
- Try to eat fruits that have a lower glycemic index (a figure that represents the relative ability of carbohydrate food in increasing the level of glucose in the blood.)
- Have fruits in between your meals or as a snack.

- Sprinkle cinnamon on your fruits time to time because it is very helpful in balancing blood sugar levels.

  3. Apples
  4. Berries (Blueberries, Strawberries, etc)
  5. Guavas
  6. Watermelon
  7. Papaya (ripe)
