Save your four-legged friends from the sweltering summer

Our four-legged friends suffer in this unforgiving summer heat while being unable to express their discomfort like us humans. Dogs are our most loyal friends so it is our duty to keep them comfortable in the sweltering heat.

Pet experts have suggested that pets be given cold water to drink and parents can spray cool water on them to keep them cool during peak summer. They should be combed from time to time to remove excess hair; but shaving their fur to save them from heat is a bad idea according to the experts as the fur protects pets from getting sunburnt.

It is wise to take the pets out for walks early in the morning or in the evening. Some people plan holiday trips for their pets to hill stations to keep them away from the heat of the city. In addition to taking care of our pets, we must not forget about the stray animals also as the heat affects them the most.
