A lot of activities have been done by SRWS in order to develop the lifestyle of the needy and the downtrodden people in the rural areas of West Bengal. SRWS is introducing a unique concept for the ease of the farmers by educating them on rain water harvesting. It is done by conserving the monsoon rain which helps the farmers to increase the area under irrigation, grow crops in the dry season, support livestock and even recharge groundwater. This means better food availability for their families and higher incomes.

Rural Self-employment scheme from SRWS is a boon for West Bengal’s villagers. Today we saw a lot of happy faces in the crowd whose lives have been changed for better by SRWS. The anniversary celebration also announced the success of the Training Programme on Agriculture and Agricultural Items with 500 participants, which has been going on from 26th of July 2028 and will continue till 31st August 2018. This program is conducted by SRWS in association with the agricultural department of the Government of West Bengal.
