Partha Joardar, one of the most recognizable abstract expressionist artists across India presented to Bengal, his understanding and insight into the world of art through the experiences of his journey spanning 24 years with ‘action painting’ at the grand stage of the Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata, on 20th of February.

This event was set apart from any other art presentation as the audience had the unique opportunity to have a complete audio visual experience while Partha Joardar performed in consonance with live music to bring forth his journey of art through the colours of his emotions. It gave the pure art lovers a chance to listen while music lovers could visualize, providing a chance towards a relaxing exploration of cross – artform creativity.

This one of a kind event also saw the special presence of the ever-charming and enigmatic Rj Rakesh, who presented the event to a packed audience.

Partha Joardar, had his first encounter with action painting as early as the year 1994 when his motive was to create something beyond the boundaries of speech and expression, and for the last 24 years he has through observant experimentation and splashes of colour or sometimes even by burning the whole canvas has produced amazing variations of the unique form of art.

This unique event was immensely fulfilling to the senses and surely goes a long way to help widen the audience of live painting and music while providing a rich experience of both the art forms.
