On Valentine’s Day name a cockroach after your ex & feed it to meerkats

Love is in the air as the month of February is almost here, and we all know that 14th February is the day of love, Valentine’s Day. Hopeless romantics plan meticulously to make this day very special for their significant other. But there are some people for whom valentine’s day is just another reminder that their relationship failed. The memories they buried deep resurfaces once again. In this context, one thing that pops up in my mind is the scene from the movie ‘Jab We Met’, where Geet is bombarding slangs and calling names over the phone to her ex; more or less many of us can relate to that.

Many of you might have not got closure in a relationship, for those scorned lovers the El Paso Zoo of Texas has yet again brought the fun event for disdained souls. In this event, scorned lovers can name cockroaches after their exes, who will be then fed to zoo animals. The El Paso zoo started this event titled ‘Quit Bugging Me’ last year and they have returned with that event this Valentine’s Day. This year the zoo animals will also take part in the event. Animals like meerkats, birds, primates and small mammals will be fed the cockroaches. The event will last till February 16th and the animals will eat the cockroaches over a three-day anti-valentine’s day promotion. Interested people can take part in the event by filling a name submission form on the zoo’s website, which will start soon. However, no charge is required to participate in the event but people can make donations.
