He is a first time time and a first time director. Raahul and Priyanka are gearing up for a couple of new chapters in their lives.
Rahul is on cloud nine. Not only is he a proud father of an eight-day-old son, but the actor might also be donning the director's hat soon, if the buzz is to be believed.
"My son, Sohoj, came home on Sunday morning. And it was amazing to see Priyanka, who has always been a loving wife, as a mother! Sohoj makes so many facial expressions that I am sure he will become a better actor than me! That apart, I am learning to change diapers and sing lullabies to put him to sleep. I have to be a hands-on father," smiled Rahul.
Moreover, according to the grapevine, the actor is all set to direct from March a film on Kolkata along with a friend. A source said, "It's a film all of us can relate to. The city will be explored extensively through it. The producer wanted Rahul to be part of it, but he refused because he feels he's a mediocre actor." But when we asked Rahul about the development, he remained tightlipped. "I will not say a word on this now," he said. It is heard the film is in the pre-production stage now and Rahul will be casting fresh faces, as he believes in new talent. The actor is shooting for Amar Ami at present and will start shooting for Srijit Mukherji's Chotushkon along with Abir Chatterjee from January.
