NCB busts drug racket in Kolkata

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has recently busted an international racket of drug peddlers and has seized more than 3,000 psychotropic tablets. The bureau has arrested three persons related to this drug peddling operations. The NCB officials reported that this particular gang is directly involved in online trading of drugs in the US and Canada.

NCB Kolkata unit Zonal Director Dilip Kumar Srivastava said,

The NCB Kolkata team seized 3,161 tablets of six psychotropic substances valued at Rs 10-15 lakh from drug dealers Ganesh Pan and Sunil Agarwal who was arrested on Wednesday. The drugs were sold to customers in the US and Canada through a city-based call center Dream Advent Services and delivered via courier. Clement Phillips, the call center owner, was also arrested

According to the bureau, these seized drugs were being peddled through Kolkata since they are legal in India but illegal in two foreign nations.
