Mark Waugh No More the Australian Selector

Mark Waugh, one of the finest Australian cricketers took up television commentary after quitting the post of the national selector for Australia. Waugh has decided to not renew his contract after his existing contract expires this 31st August.

Mark Waugh stated, “Working alongside my fellow selectors, the coaching staff and players over the past four years have been a privilege, and I'm proud of the achievements of the Australian teams across all formats of the game.”

Waugh played 244 one day Internationals and 128 test matches for Australia. He was in the selection panel since 2014 and focussed mainly on Twenty- Twenty. Till now, no replacement for Waugh has been announced. “I firmly believe Australian cricket has a wealth of talented players in its ranks right now, and I look forward to watching the team continue to go from strength to strength in the years to come,” he added.
