MAKAUT’s new satellite campus

MAKAUT (Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology) has recently set up its new satellite campus at Bankura. The new campus has been set up on the premises of Bankura Unnayani Institute of Engineering which happens to be one of its affiliated colleges. The satellite campus was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of MAKAUT, Prof. Saikat Maitra on the foundation day of Bankura Unnayani Institute of Engineering. Another new building, 'Vidyasagar Bhavan' was inaugurated as well by the District Magistrate of Bankura, Uma Sankar S; marking the 200th birth anniversary of Pandit Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar. This new satellite campus composes of a two-storied building with 30 rooms built on 20 acres, adjacent to Bankura Unnayani Institute of Engineering. MAKAUT will use this campus to expand its educational services to the Bankura district. The new campus will house a Biotechnology Park and Food Technology Park which will be used for industrial development projects.
