ISKCON to set up Chaitanya Heritage Centre

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness, popularly known as ISKCON is going to set up Sri Chaitanya Cultural World Heritage Centre at Mayapur, the birthplace of Maha Prabhu Shri Chaitanya.  The heritage centre will be set up on 700 acres in Mayapur. ISKCON has also decided to develop all the spiritual places of the Nawadip Dham which consists of 9 islands so that devotees can visit there for parikrama throughout the year. ISKCON is going to set up spiritual embassies of 45 countries which will reflect their individual culture, dress, lifestyle, food, houses. A state of the art hospital will also be established which would consist of 200 beds for taking care of the medical conditions of the people residing there. Alay Govind Das, head of ISKCON Mayapur land department said, "The core of ISKCON's philosophy is to spread the teachings and values of Sri Chaitanya Maha Prabhu and by constructing Temple of Vedic Planetarium ( TOVP), a construction and technical masterpiece and further setting up of World Heritage centre at Mayapur, we plan to attract the people of the entire world”.
