IHM brings Gujarat in Kolkata

Our country is known for its diverse culture and traditions, each state has its own way of life which is different from the others. Be it our country or some other countries, a place can always be distinguished by its food. Similarly, in India different cuisine prevails. The Institute of Hotel Management is one of the leading institutes of hotel management has found a way of showcasing the talent of the students along with the culture of one of the states of this country.

On 14th February, IHM Kolkata to celebrate the cuisine and ethnicity of the Gujarati community in their event, “Ek Shaam Gujarat Ke Naam”. The event will highlight Gujarat’s culture through various dances including Dandiya which is celebrated throughout the state of Gujarat and other parts of the country during Navaratri. The aim of this program is to display the entrepreneurial skills of budding hoteliers. In 2018, they organised a similar program where they celebrated the vibrant culture of the princely state of Rajasthan through food, music and dances. There will be several stalls run by the future hoteliers of IHM Kolkata. It is an honor for Jiyo Bangla to be the proud digital partner of this event, to visit and live the culture of such a lively state without being there physically is quite exciting and thrilling. The event will commence from 4.30 pm onwards, keep watching this space for more updates on it.
