Easel to Move Court on Copyright Issue

The makers of Comrade have decided to file a civil suit for copyright infringement resulting in both financial loss and poor quality exposure of the movie.

"A producer invests hard earned money into making a movie. But when that is pirated and displayed on digital platform it results in financial loss and loss of reputation. We will move to court against this in regards to the movie Comrade," said Producer Indrajit Roy.

Comrade was released on July 21 this year and is a movie on Singur Nandigram resistance.

Director Shanku deb Panda added: "When a film is pirated and shown. It loses the quality of production and the movie looks poorly made. This hurts a creative person like us. We need to stop this and we have decided to take anti-piracy battle to them."
