Cooch Behar railway station gets a makeover

Cooch Behar railway station gets a makeover, it has been remodeled to look like the famous Cooch Behar palace. The architecture of the station bears resemblance to the Gothic Style of the Cooch Behar palace which was built by the Koch Kings and is now freshly painted with the color scheme similar to that of the palace. A vertical garden is also built in the station premises that adds to the attraction of the station. The Cooch Behar railways station was built back in 1901 by the Royals. The makeover project was carried out by the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR). P.J. Sharma, the chief public relation officer of the NFR said,

The facade of the station was built like that of the palace. We have also raised a vertical garden on the station premises and will soon install a fountain to give it a complete look.
