Chandannagar welcomes ‘Maa Jagadhatri’

The stage is set for Chandannagar's Jagadhatri Puja and the theme makers are completing the unfinished work. Some pujas have already been inaugurated on Sunday. Today some pujas will be inaugurated and the Chandannagar commissionerate has recruited around 2300 police personnel and civic volunteers and 700 home guards to tackle the Puja rally. Besides, 100 CC TV cameras are being installed to monitor the crowd. Not only this, the police will use the drone to control crowd on the day of idol immersion.
Police Commissioner Ajay Kumar stated this while attending an event where a guide map of Jagadhatri Pujo was issued in front of Chandernagor police station on Sunday afternoon. He stated, all kinds of measures are being taken to handle the Puja rush. Helpline numbers have been provided.
