Cellphone mars the curves

Are you a woman and having excessive neck pain due to overuse of cellphone?

We all know that we slouch or tilt our head downward while using phones especially for a longer period of time. It is proven that pain in the neck and upper shoulders have worse effects on the women. This is mainly because of the lack of back support. Bending the neck for a longer period of time puts extra pressure on the spine. This may also cause muscle strain. Women have relatively lower muscle strength than men.

“Theoretically, the more hours you spend bent over a phone, the more neck and shoulder pain you experience - but what we found is that time is not the most important risk factor. Rather, its gender and specific postures,” said Szu-Ping Lee, a professor at University of Nevada.
