Bring back the golden days of cinema

Iranian film director, producer, and screenwriter, Majid Majidi believes that the actual golden era of cinema was during the time of Satyajit Ray. The director has been giving a lot of interviews as his film Beyond the Clouds was released on 20th April. The film beyond the clouds is the story about a brother and a sister. A film has a beautiful story-line where the protagonist’s sister fights all odds to save his brother from the clutches of the police custody.

In spite of being an Iranian citizen, he has a fair knowledge and interest in the culture of India. In his recent interviews, he says that in every corner of India there is a story. But he personally believes, the Indian directors fail to recognize such incredible stories hidden in the lanes of India. He wants the directors to resurrect the beautiful glory of the Indian cinema, especially referring to the period of  Satyajit Ray.

No doubt, he is an exceptional director who has showcased his love of Indian Culture, through his films to the rest of the world. And lastly, he stated that to bring a transformation in the modern cinema we have to give fresh opportunities to the youth of the country. Moreover, the young artists have to grab new opportunities and start taking the risks which will bring out their talent, which might also reshape the world of the contemporary cinema.
