Biswa Bangla Gate to open for public from February 2

The Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee has inaugurated the Biswa Bangla Gate on January 31 from the grounds of the Kolkata International Book Fair 2019. However, it will be open for public visits from February 2. The visitors will have to book the tickets online beforehand and pay an entry fee of Rs 100. The visitor’s gallery is about 25 meters above the ground where the visitors can go and enjoy the scenic beauty of the city from up there. They will have to access the lifts situated on one side of the gate to reach the gallery. There will also be a coffee shop, a shop for souvenirs and a major attraction, a selfie zone. The gallery and the cafeteria are surrounded by glass which gives it an extraordinary look. Forty-five visitors will be allowed at a time to enter this place for a duration of maximum an hour. The Gate will be open from 12 noon to 6pm in the evening.
