To pay a tribute to the late actress, Kolkata's film Industry has planned to remake one of Supriva Devi's hit movies. Right after the demise of the "Megha Dhaka Tara" actress KFI (Kolkata Film Industry) announced a remake of her 1968 film "Chaurangi". Cinelovers will be able to cherish the vintage movie on the big screens. The theatres will play "Chaurangi" once again but in a different manner.

However, the movie will be set in modern times with a few elements from the book carrying the same title. The captivating novel gained mass popularity right after it was published.

Presenting the film will be an achievement for me". He even added during the SVF meet, "I am highly inspired by the novel.  I am happy for the cast and crew".
