“Add an address” introduced to Google Map in 6 languages

Technology has always updated and re-organised itself to make things easier for the users and this time also they have put forward a couple of innovative features. Indians are now beset with good news from Google maps as they have introduced “Add an address” feature where the operators can use voice navigation in six different languages. What more? They have also brought together smart address search and code features.

Hindi as an optional language was introduced long back and now Google has started adding Tamil, Telegu, Kannada, Gujrati, Malayalam, and Bengali on its navigation service. Now that if you have missed an address, you can submit it and the address will be reflected on your navigation screen. The features were launched pretty furtively but tech savvy people have already started using it.

The “smart address search” will definitely make exploration easier for the users. If a specific address is too long to add then one can add landmark, while google map will fetch you the required statistics in this regard.

On the other hand, plus codes divided the world into smaller grids and in India the code is of “six characters + city”.  Users have to put the code in the search tab and location will be traced with ease. This simplified feature works offline also.

As per Suren Ruhela, Director of Google Maps, it is not that people will start forgetting to put their addresses overnight but with plus codes optimism will be there for the lost cases.
